About the role:
We are looking for a full time pharmacy assistant, to join our team starting at the end of October. All levels of expierence are encouraged to apply. We will provide continuous on the job and formal training and development opportunities.

Duties include but not limited to:
• greet and assist customers, and refer customers to the Pharmacist as required
• processing sales through the till
• promote and assist with our in house health services
• consistantly work within the QCPP standards and WHS

Essential skills required:

• basic to moderate computer literacy skills
• ability to work in a small team as well as autonomously

Dispensary Technician

Are you self-motivated, energetic and reliable?

Do you possess exceptional customer service skills?

The Role:

As a dispensary technician, you will be a key staff member reporting directly to the managing pharmacist. Your role is to support the pharmacist so that they can spend more time delivering health care services and information. To achieve this, you will be responsible for all dispensary processes, ensuring a fast, accurate dispensing of medicines. You may also be responsible for preparation, maintenance and distribution of DAA's.

The ideal applicant is a pharmacy assistant who has previous experience in the dispensary. This opportunity is a permanent part-time or full-time role.

The responsibilities may include:

· Meet, greet and build relationships with pharmacy customers

· Apply point of sale handling procedures

· Dispensing scripts

· Maintaining dispensary records

· Stock management, including ordering and receipt

· Recording, assessing and improving dispensary processes

· General dispensary maintenance and upkeep

· MedsPro and Webstercare DAA preparation

What’s required to be a Dispensary Technician?

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Experience using FRED or other dispensary software
  • Self-motivated, energetic and reliable
  • Dedicated work ethic and a High level of communication skills
  • Well-developed and proven skills to manage self and workload
  • Ability to monitor and measure performance and implement strategies to overcome problems or improve results

· Ability to work well in a team and autonomously

· Willingness to learn and grow with the business

· Eye for detail and accuracy

Pharmacy Assistant (Pharmacy Student)

The Role:

The purpose of this role will be to work as part of our team, to provide exceptional customer care that develops relationships with customers, ensures continued repeat business and the long-term success of Capital Chemist Southlands. At Capital Chemist Southlands, we care for our team and regular learning and development is encouraged, through ongoing training courses that are provided throughout the year.

Capital Chemist Southlands aim to employ two intern pharmacists every year. We would encourage the successful applicant of this role to apply to continue their employment with us as an intern pharmacist at the end of their pharmacy degree. At Capital Chemist Southlands we understand the workload of a pharmacy degree, and we are happy to offer flexible hours during exam periods or to accommodate practical placements.

The responsibilities may include:

· Meet, greet and build relationships with pharmacy customers

· Accept prescriptions for dispensing

· Apply point of sale handling procedures

· Perform routine housekeeping duties

· Apply safe working practices

· Merchandise products and Perform stock control procedures

· Provide health care advice, products and services under the supervision of the Pharmacist

· Market and promote pharmacy products and services under the supervision of the Retail Manager

· Apply store security systems and procedures

· Maintain employee relations

· Support continuous improvement systems and processes

· To attend training as required to develop relevant skills

· Dispensary tasks as required

What’s required to be a Pharmacy Assistant (Pharmacy Student)?

  • Enrolment in a Bachelor of Pharmacy or Masters of Pharmacy
  • Exceptional customer service skills
