George Bass Surfboat Marathon

This 190 km race is run by a committee of the Far South Coast Branch of Surf Life Saving NSW. It is the longest, toughest surfboat race in the world. Capital Chemist first sponsored the event in 2019/2020 although the event was cut short by the south coast bushfires. A partnership of the ACT Community Program and our pharmacies in Huskisson, Ulladulla, Batemans Bay and Narooma co-sponsors the event.

The event is held every two years with our involvement confirmed for January 2022.

Day 1: January 2, 2022 Batemans Bay to Moruya (27km)

Day 2: Moruya to Tuross (19 km)

Day 3: Tuross to Narooma (22 km)

Day 4: Narooma to Bermagui (24 km)

Day 5: Bermagui to Tathra (35 km)

Day 6: Tathra to Pambula (27 km)

Day 7: Merimbula to Eden (20 km)
