Multivitamins for the whole family

Our bodies need vitamins and minerals to stay healthy and most are sourced from the foods we eat. But sometimes eating the recommended amount of fruit, vegetables and protein each day is hard for the 21st century busy family.

That’s where multivitamins can help.

A daily multivitamin can keep your whole family’s vitamin and mineral levels in balance and help to keep everyone healthy.

Sleep deprivation, poor quality sleep, illness and hectic schedules are just a few of the reasons why you might not be feeling that great, and low nutrient levels can also contribute.

Other things can also affect your nutrient levels, such as pregnancy, lactation, illness and chronic health conditions. So, a multivitamin may be useful to ensure you are getting the required nutrients.

Many multivitamin formulas are age specific:

  • For mum and dad, there are age appropriate multivitamins, which havethe higher levels of calcium and iron that they may need.
  • For growing kids, there are multivitamins packed with the vitamins and minerals needed for healthy growth.
  • For grandma and grandpa, there are vitamins with higher calcium, vitamin D and Omega 3s to assist with bone health, heart health and joint issues.

After a few weeks of incorporating multivitamins into your family routine, you may experience increased energy, better sleep patterns, decreased junk food cravings and a lowered susceptibility to illness.

Knowing your family is getting a balanced supply of nutrients is important, especially as winter draws closer. If you are unsure which product to take, check with your local Capital Chemist pharmacist.
