Capital Chemist Pty Ltd (CCPL) is a company set up with the purpose of providing a range of services to Capital Chemist pharmacies. Uniquely all profits generated through group activities are returned to pharmacies.
The directors and shareholders of CCPL are elected by the owners of Capital Chemist pharmacies. Directors and shareholders are elected for a fixed term. Elections are held annually with one or two directors and shareholders standing down and nominations for replacement directors and shareholders being sought from current owners.
The directors are responsible for making decisions about what services CCPL provides to Capital Chemist pharmacies and supporting the Capital Chemist management team to deliver the Capital Chemist vision and mission.
Financial performance well above industry average
Capital Chemist pharmacies consistently outperform other pharmacies in Australia. In simple terms our pharmacies are more profitable. Capital Chemist head office does not make a profit. Our membership fees cover all head office operational costs, which allows all discounts, rebates and the like to be returned directly to pharmacies on a pro rata basis. We have evidence to demonstrate that, as a consequence of this arrangement and our other strategies, Capital Chemist pharmacies have higher gross profit percentages and EBITDA than many other pharmacy groups.
Accurate financial benchmarking and performance reporting to help you make the right decisions for your business
Capital Chemist Pty Limited provides pharmacies with a range of reports weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. The suite of reports is reviewed regularly to ensure that you have relevant information in a timely manner allowing you to make appropriate changes to optimise business performance. Our POS platform and bookkeeping systems have checks and balances to ensure that the data that goes into these reports has integrity. Our business reporting systems and accounting team ensure that owners have instant access to the information they need.
